Prashna Shakya ::

Parichaya’s featured artist this month, is the pride of Sunsari, Dharan born on year 1981. She was into music since her teenage years.It was in the year 1999 when she came out with her debut album titled “Hi! Hello” which was not quite a success but that didn’t stop her in journey of music. 2000 was the good year for Prashna, after she won on 6th position in Radio Nepal’s “ All Nepal Modern Song Competition” opportunities started to pour in. Prashna appeared in films like Kartavya, Santaan, Meri Aama, Pheri Arko Saino, Bagar and Sashu Buhari. Year later (2001) she grabbed 1st position on “Timro Sur Mero Geet” one of Nepal Television program and in the year 2003 she won as the “Best Female Pop Performance” for HitsFM Music Award. Year after she came out with her second album “Aawaaj” which was a major success in market. With two albums on her back she is quite busy touring around Nepal, UK, Hong Kong and India. Recently she’s also been featured in Nirnaya (NSK) music video. Keep the spirit alive Prashna… all the best for the coming years!
